Frequently Asked Questions.
How long will my site take?.
Work on your website design can usualy be started as soon as you give me the go ahead and pay a part payment deposit.
It will be finished in about 3 to 6 weeks - depending on how quickly you can have the required site content ready.
You had better be prepared for a lot of hard work thinking and writing your site content (ie details of your business)- writing content is a tough job.
Where do I start? What do I do?
It could not be easier, you'll start by answering a few questions about your design preferences, your business objectives and your ideas for your website.
I'll then do an initial design as a starting point and the website will develop from there.
We'll probably have many discussions/email exchanges, try out lots of design and feature ideas - so that in the end you get exactly what you want and what your business needs.
Will I be able to update my website?
Absolutely. Your site will be built so that if you are not completely happy with the finished job you have an opportunity to change things before it 'goes live'.
If you believe that the site will need regular changes in the future (such as online shops etc) then I suggest you opt for the site management packages as well, this will allow for an agreed amount of monthly alterations. Changes to site content in the future (if not site managed) will incur my basic hourly rate.
Can I see my site during the creation stages?
Yes, you can watch your website design as it happens - I'll give you a private web address so you can see it anytime.
You will be able to try out every page, review the content, the design and give feedback at every stage of the website design.
And it's never too late to change something - right up to launch day.
Will my website be on the first page of Google and when?
Your website will be search engine optimised to the max, but this still doesn't guarantee you a place on page one of ANY of the many search engines.
However, all the key components of search engine optimisation will be built into your website.
This gives your website the absolute best chance of success. If anyone promises you a spot on page one of Google - walk away, they're just after your money.
What are your payment terms?
After our initial discusions I will have an idea of your intened project and will work out what packages are available and best suited to your design criteria.
When you agree with my suggestions I will require 50% of final payment before work begins and 50% upon completion (ie. after you agree that everything is as you intended).
Upon your funds clearing, the new site will be moved to it's final hosting server and the new domain name placed with it for the world to see.
How can I pay you?
For both of our security, I suggest either payment via cheque (Sterling or Euro banks only) or via secure online payment via PAYPAL.
